Unofficial Resource

Dhaka Metro Rail Guide is not an official website. It is independently built and maintained as a free public resource for MRT Line 6 passengers. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) or any government body. For official information, always refer to dmtcl.gov.bd.

What Is This Site?

Dhaka Metro Rail Guide is a free, community-oriented website dedicated to helping passengers navigate MRT Line 6 with ease. We provide up-to-date station information, fare lookups, train schedules, an interactive route map, and practical guides on the rules and etiquette of using the metro.

The site was built because finding clear, reliable, and well-organised information about Dhaka's metro in one place was harder than it should be. Our goal is to make every journey smoother — whether you're a daily commuter or riding for the first time.

Accuracy & Updates

We do our best to keep fares, schedules, and station data accurate and current. However, as an unofficial source, there may be delays between official changes and updates on this site. Always confirm critical travel information (especially fares and service disruptions) through official DMTCL channels before travelling.

About MRT Line 6

Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Line 6 is Bangladesh's first metro rail system, operated by DMTCL. The elevated line runs 20.1 kilometres from Uttara North to Motijheel, passing through some of Dhaka's most densely populated and commercially active areas.

Construction began in 2016 with support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The first phase opened on 28 December 2022, and the full line to Motijheel was completed in November 2023 — marking a historic milestone for urban mobility in Bangladesh.
