Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has updated its health and hygiene guidelines for passengers travelling on MRT Line 6. While masks are no longer mandatory in general, DMTCL strongly recommends their use during peak hours and in crowded conditions.
Updated Guidelines
- Masks are recommended (not mandatory) on board trains and within station concourses
- Hand sanitiser dispensers remain available at all station entrances and exit gates
- Passengers with respiratory symptoms are requested to wear a mask as a courtesy to fellow travellers
- Air filtration systems in all trains are maintained and serviced regularly
Peak Hours
Stations and trains are most crowded during:
- Morning peak: 08:00 – 09:30
- Evening peak: 17:30 – 19:30
During these windows, DMTCL staff may request passengers to maintain personal space where possible.
Reporting Concerns
If you have any health or safety concerns during your journey, please notify a DMTCL staff member at the station or use the emergency button inside the train car. You can also reach DMTCL’s passenger helpline for assistance.
